PrintPoint Requirements
This page lists the hardware and operating system requirements for the Macintosh and Windows versions of PrintPoint. Keep in mind that PrintPoint offers you complete capability. This means you can mix and match any combination of Macintosh and Windows clients and servers on the same PrintPoint system!
 

5.x Single User or Client Workstation

Macintosh System Requirements:

Gifball G4, G5, Intel Mac
Gifball Mac OS X (10.3.9 or higher)
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 1Gig. Recommend 2 Gig.
Gifball Hard disk with 50 MB of free space.
Gifball CD-ROM drive (or connection to Local Area Network if installing over network).
Gifball Monitor supporting thousands of colors or higher, with 1024 x 768 or higher resolution.

Windows System Requirements:

Gifball Pentium, Celeron or AMD current model processor.
Gifball Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional, Windows Professional 2000 (SP2).
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 1Gig. Recommend 2 Gig
Gifball Hard disk with 50 MB of free space.
Gifball CD-ROM drive (or connection to Local Area Network if installing over network).
Gifball Monitor supporting thousands of colors or higher, with 1024 x 768 or higher resolution.

PrintPoint 5.x Server

Macintosh Server Requirements:

Gifball G4, G5, Intel Mac
Gifball Mac OS X (10.3.9 or higher)
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 1Gig. Recommend 2 Gig
Gifball A dedicated server is required to run PrintPoint Server.
Gifball 100 MB or greater hard disk space; approximately 20 MB per user is recommended.
Gifball CD-ROM drive.

Windows Server Requirements:

Gifball Pentium, Celeron or AMD current model processor.
Gifball Windows Vista, Windows XP Professional, Windows Professional 2000 (SP2), Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
Gifball RAM: Minimum: 1Gig. Recommend 2 Gig
Gifball A dedicated server is required to run PrintPoint Server.
Gifball 100 MB or greater hard disk space; approximately 20 MB per user is recommended.
Gifball CD-ROM drive.

Additional Recommended Services:

Gifball Fast Ethernet (100BaseT) for Client/Server installations.
Gifball Ethernet 100BaseT Switch.
Gifball Broadband (DSL, Cable or Tx) Internet Connection to access PrintPoint Update Server.
Gifball Timbuktu Pro, VNC or PC Anywhere for remote administration and support services.
